Located in Southern Ohio, I have fished several tournaments with many different people and seen the problems they have with their equipment, mismatched rod and reel combinations (to stiff or to light action with certain reels), noisy reels, backlashes etc. Over the past several years I have been able to fish several tournaments with B.A.S.S. and FLW Outdoors fishing with many of the professional anglers and have seen how good they really are with a rod and reel and how few equipment problems they have, they know the importantance of maintaining their equipment in top shape and so should the average fisherman. I wanted to learn how to build my own rods and see if I could build a better rod than I could purchase at the local tackle store. I spent several hours reading and searching the internet on how to do it, I basically taught myself with the trial and error method but I wanted to learn more so I attended a custom rod builders seminar in Tennessee. During this seminar, I was able to discuss the how to's with some of the best rod builders in the USA. So if you have a bad guide or tip on your favorite rod we can repair it for you. Since opening the rod shop I wanted to offer more to our customers, I found a company, Lake Fork Tackle Repair in Yantis Texas, I contacted Connie and Tommy Kilpatrick and was able to make the trip to Texas to work with them in their shop and they taught me the ins and outs of the professional reel business. Seeing how they operate their shop and the care they take in working on and repairing reels I feel that I learned from the best and now we are offering you the same great reel service but only in Ohio. Our goal is to offer quality fishing rods to anglers and make your reels like new. |
